Robbery at Hanley newsagents

Police investigating a robbery in Hanley where a woman in her eighties was pushed to the floor are appealing for information.

At 6.30am this morning (Tuesday 3 September), a man entered AJ and J Newsagents on Lichfield Street and stole cash from the till and cigarettes.

The offender is described as a white male, aged between 25 and 30, with a slight blonde mustache and wearing a black tracksuit. CCTV showed him entering the shop with a blue blanket wrapped around him and leaving the scene in the direction of Regent Road.

Anyone with information or CCTV should call Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 81 of September 3 or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
