Investigation following serious assault in Burton

Officers are investigating a serious assault in Burton last month.

The incident happened at 1am on Sunday 11 August at The Anchor Inn on New Street. The victim was punched in the face in what he described as an unprovoked attack. He suffered a broken jaw and was treated in hospital.

The victim describes the attacker as a black male of a stocky build aged around 45 years. He was with another black male around 30 years of age.

Anyone with information should call Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 294 of August 14 or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
